• Architected environment and developed automation used for the migration of 16,000 users to multiple Office 365 tenants and related services. • Automated with PowerShell, APIs, and cloud-based serverless solutions for gathering metric or log shipping across various services into database backend. • Deployed multi-tier application infrastructure and code for publishing C# console, ASP.NET MVC web, and custom PowerShell modules to related Azure and AWS cloud environments with TFS, Azure DevOps, and GitHub. • Led DevOps group and department development efforts with training sessions, code reviews, Confluence documentation, and best practice knowledge sharing.
Center for Neurosciences, Orthopedics, and Spine (2007-2015)
• Administered a VMware cloud servicing specialty healthcare clinics from over 25 locations. • Designed and implemented additional clusters introducing HA/FT features and DR planning. • Created vendor segregation platform to isolate applications, minimized risk while increasing availability, decreasing annual allotted downtime by 80% over the previous average. • Architected and implemented several Remote Desktop farms, gateways, and web access portals for hundreds of simultaneous users. Used synthetic transactions to simulate user interactions prior to go live to scale appropriately.
Various Contract Positions (2002-2015)
• Full-stack development in various languages for desktop and web applications with test-driven development, web server optimization, and database normalization. • Turnkey automation of solutions from Cisco networks, UCS chassis, F5 load balancers, VMware hypervisor, and NetApp storage solutions. Included the VMs, operating systems, and applications that ran on top of them. The results of this work was completing in a couple hours what would take multiple work days. • Built and integrated containerized linux-based testing and monitoring solutions across all hardware, software, and cloud-based services to improve SLAs and observability.
